Supervision for Body Workers

Professional Supervision for Body Workers

As a qualified Massage Therapist, Reflexologist, Reiki Healer and Yoga teacher for many years, I experienced how working as a Body Worker can sometimes feel like a lonely place.  Many of our client’s depend upon our skills and our professionalism to support them with challenges that they may be working upon, both physically and also psychologically, but where can we seek support?

Supervision for Body Workers - provides a space for you to explore how your connections to others may have an impact upon your connection with yourself.

When looked at through the Lense of Polyvagel Theory*, we co-regulate with others through the connection of our energies, our nervous systems and through touch.

What this means for you as a Body Worker is that you may unintentionally take away some of the energies of your clients or find yourself left with some transferable resonance of the issues that your clients are working upon.

Supervision is not professional mentoring but is a confidential space and time for you to explore what belongs to the client and what belongs to you.  It is a chance to look more closely at what happens when we exchange energies with others.

These sessions can be either one off, maybe to explore what is left from a particular client or connection or can be ongoing support as you develop personally and professionally. Ultimately the intention is to enable you to create boundaries for yourself allowing you to benefit from clarity and for your clients to benefit from this clarity also.

Our work together can be conducted either online (via the platforms of Zoom, Facetime, Microsoft Teams) or face to face if you are working within geographical range of Chippenham and/or  Devizes in Wiltshire.

I offer 60 minute or 90 minute sessions – At £60 for one hour or £90 for one hour and a half.

If you would like to know more about how this might work for you and what the benefits to your business might be, please feel free to contact me.

Reciprocity is a connection between people that is created in the back-and-forth communication between two autonomic nervous systems.” (Dana, D. 2018. -The Polyvagel Theory in Therapy.www.Norton.Com. p47)
